Our Specialist
Jacinthe Bouchard trains animals in captivity (dolphins, tigers, white bears, Walruses, horses...)
Jake and Odo
Jake and Odo had too many behavior problems. Now, he never leaves Odo, an orphan gibbon.
Reason 1
Jacinthe Bouchard is speacialist in animal behavior. She knows all about "friendships" between animals. There are two reasons for it:
1- The brain of a young animals it's developing, threre's a socialitzation period when the animal can be near on other animal without being afraid.
Example: the snake and the lion. It doesn't know that it's dangerous.
2- The brain of a young animals that come into contact with other animals. It's can play together: lick, each other, sleep together, protect each other from danger etc.
From a human point of view we tend to consider them as friends.
When the animals are adults is impossible between two animals are meet.
Example: When they are young, there's nothing to stop an otter and badger playing together.
