The maternal instint
If a famale loses her babies, the maternal instinct can make her adopt a baby of any species. For example: a lioness can take care of young antelope as if it was her own baby.
When a female becomes a mother, her body produces a hormone, oxytocin, which helps her babies. If they die, the mother tries to satisfy her need to be a mother.
In this case, the maternal instinct is more important than the hunting instinct.
What about human beings?
Humans babies also have a socialitzacion on period. Example: The history of little Tippi begre (in Africa).
Born in Africa, she slept happily with lions, squabbled with a wild leopard and rode ostriches!
